Harley & Sons came to assess my roof. Probably the most honest tradespeople I’ve dealt with in years! They found no issues, though they showed me that my gutters were overflowing and completely clogged with debris and mud. Their quote to clean the gutters and flush the drain pipes was very competitive, so much so that I didn’t even need to get another quote.The work on the day was completed by a very polite and professional guy and was all done within a couple of hours.I’d highly recommend this company and I WILL be using them again. Don’t bother going anywhere else for your roofing and /or gutter cleaning needs!

I have recently had my roof replaced by Harley & Sons and am very happy with the finished product. I did unfortunately have a tile dropped through the ceiling which caused disruption due to the first attempt at repairing the ceiling being unsatisfactory but once I raised the concern it was promptly addressed. Working in an industry where safety is the number one priority, it was excellent to see that part of the first conversation with Harley & Sons was the need to include the cost of scaffolding to our quote. Neither of the other two roofing contractors from whom we got quotes felt safety was as important.While our project took a little too long (interruptions for Easter and ANZAC Day), the tradies were fantastic, from the scaffolding guys who cheerfully worked away (even cheekily erecting a small structure on our front lawn with excess materials so they could hang a sign advertising Melbourne Fall Protection…..good on them) to Nick (roofing specialist) washing and repairing any part of the roof needing it, and the guys installing new downpipes and gutters, everyone delivered very high quality outcomes.I appreciated the opportunity to speak with Andy Harley at the end of the job. Nice to know the boss is still keen to “connect” with his customers to check satisfaction.Finally, I stand in front of my house and stare at my roof thinking how good it looks and how fantastic it is that all the little problems and leaks have been fixed. I was even joined by my next door neighbour who looked up and said “your roof looks amazing. Now my wife is gonna want ours done!”You can choose Harley & Sons with confidence. Harley and Sons did a great job of restoring our tiled roof, which was in quite bad condition. They had to replace rotten timber and clean off 30+ years of moss and dirt. It's looking great now and will certainly add value to the property. They left us with spare tiles, which they painted the same colour, which was handy if we ever need to replace a tile.

Our guttering job wasn't a major repair, but still needed to be done properly. Harley's were the second quote we got; they were not only a bit less expensive, but also included a more comprehensive fix to our issue. The guys turned up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. I was extra impressed with the project manager deciding part of the job needed a tweak before signing it off, getting the guys back to improve one section. Communication was great throughout the engagement - I always knew what was happening and when. These guys were my preferred out of two companies. The first company visited, didn’t bother to measure and just gave me a high level figure. These guys came with pre measurements of my roof, provided a detailed quote and were more competitive. The subbies were also good, knew what they were doing, had attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. Would definately recommend.
